All-on-X Dental Implants in Boca Raton

All-on-X Dental Implants in Boca Raton

A full arch of missing or failing teeth doesn't have to mean a lifetime of adhesives and removable plates. All-on-X dental implants replace an entire upper or lower arch with a fixed bridge anchored to a small number of implants placed directly into the jawbone. The "X" stands for the number of implants used — most often four or six — and that number is chosen based on your bone, your bite, and the arch being treated. For patients across Boca Raton who are tired of loose dentures or holding onto teeth that keep breaking, this approach restores a complete set of teeth that stays put.

Think of All-on-X as a category rather than a single procedure. All-on-4 uses four implants per arch, with the rear implants angled to take advantage of denser available bone. That angling often reduces or eliminates the need for extensive grafting, which makes All-on-4 a strong fit for patients who have already experienced bone loss after years of wearing dentures or living with advanced gum disease.

All-on-6 adds two more implants, distributing bite forces across a wider foundation. We often recommend six implants for patients with heavier bite force, those restoring the upper arch where bone tends to be softer, or anyone whose anatomy comfortably supports the additional placements. Neither option is universally "better." We evaluate your scans and your goals, then explain honestly why a particular configuration makes sense for you. As a periodontal practice, we also treat the gum and bone conditions that led to tooth loss in the first place — bone grafting and ridge augmentation when the site needs rebuilding, and gum disease treatment so the foundation is healthy before implants go in.

Most Boca Raton patients who ask about full arch implants fall into a few groups: people wearing dentures they can't keep comfortable, people whose remaining teeth are failing from periodontal disease, and people facing the prospect of losing an entire arch and wanting to plan ahead. Candidacy depends on bone volume, gum health, general health, and habits like smoking that affect healing.

Bone loss alone rarely disqualifies anyone. It simply shapes the plan — sometimes an angled All-on-4 design, sometimes grafting beforehand. Active gum disease does need to be addressed first, and that's work we do here. A board-certified periodontist is on staff, and you don't need a referral from another dentist to be seen.

  • A fixed bridge that stays in your mouth — no removal, no adhesive
  • Implants that stimulate the jawbone and help limit further bone loss
  • A full arch supported by four or six implants rather than one per tooth
  • An on-site dental lab, which keeps fabrication and adjustments under our roof
  • Ongoing implant maintenance so your investment is protected long term

What the Process Looks Like

Treatment begins with a consultation and imaging to map bone height, width, and density in the arch we're restoring. We review your medical history, discuss sedation and comfort, and walk through whether four or six implants fits your anatomy. You'll leave understanding the sequence and the timeline before anything is scheduled.

On surgical day, any failing teeth are removed, the implants are placed, and a provisional bridge is attached so you aren't without teeth. Healing takes several months while bone integrates with the implant surfaces. During that window we see you for checks and adjustments. Once integration is complete, we design and fit the final bridge — and having our lab on site means fine-tuning fit, bite, and appearance happens efficiently rather than through weeks of back-and-forth shipping.

Aftercare and Long-Term Maintenance

The first days after surgery involve soft foods, prescribed rinses, and rest. Swelling and tenderness are normal and fade steadily. We give written instructions and stay reachable — Boca Raton patients appreciate that follow-up visits don't require a long trip.

Long term, All-on-X teeth need daily cleaning under the bridge and professional implant maintenance on a regular schedule. We check tissue health around each implant, screen for early inflammation, and clean areas you can't reach. Periodontal disease is the most common threat to implants, and monitoring it is exactly what our training prepares us for.

Payment and Financing

We are an out-of-network, fee-for-service practice and do not take insurance. Self-pay and cash patients are welcome, and we provide clear cost information for your specific treatment plan before you commit to anything.

We also see patients from Deerfield Beach, Highland Beach, and Delray Beach, but Boca Raton is home. If you're weighing full arch implants, call us and we'll give you a straight assessment of your options.
