All-on-X Dental Implants

Why choose us

Benefits of All-on-X Dental Implants

A Full Arch Restored

We replace an entire upper or lower arch with a fixed set of teeth supported by implants.

All-on-4 Simplicity

All-on-4 uses four implants and often suits patients who want fewer implants and a more streamlined treatment.

All-on-6 Added Support

All-on-6 adds two more implants for broader support, which can be a good fit when more bone volume is available.

On-Site Dental Lab

Our in-house lab lets us fine-tune the fit and look of your new teeth without long outside delays.

Specialist-Led Implant Care

A board-certified periodontist plans and places your implants, and no referral is needed to get started.

A full arch of teeth can be supported by as few as four precisely placed implants. That is the idea behind All-on-X: rather than replacing each missing tooth with its own implant, we anchor a complete upper or lower arch of fixed teeth onto a small number of implants positioned where your bone is strongest. The "X" simply stands for the number of implants used — most often four or six — which we determine after examining your jaw, your gum health, and the shape of your bite.

All-on-X is designed for people who are missing most or all of their teeth in an arch, or who are facing the loss of remaining teeth because of advanced gum disease, fractures, or widespread decay. It also helps longtime denture wearers who are tired of adhesives, sore spots, and a plate covering the roof of the mouth. Because the replacement arch is fixed to the implants, it stays put when you eat, speak, and laugh.

As a periodontal practice, we spend our days working with the gum and bone foundation that implants depend on, and that shapes how we approach full arch care. If periodontal disease is active, we treat it first. If the ridge is too thin or too shallow to hold implants securely, we can discuss bone grafting or ridge augmentation to rebuild support. A board-certified periodontist is on staff, and we welcome patients from Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Highland Beach, and Delray Beach — you do not need a referral to schedule a consultation with us.

All-on-4 uses four implants per arch, with the back two angled to take advantage of denser bone toward the front of the jaw. That angling often allows us to avoid areas where bone has thinned after years of tooth loss, which can mean fewer additional procedures for some patients. It suits people who want a fixed arch with a streamlined surgical plan and who have adequate bone in the front region of the jaw.

All-on-6 distributes the same arch across six implants. Spreading the load over more points can be an advantage when the bone volume allows it, particularly in the upper jaw, where bone tends to be softer, or for patients with strong chewing forces. More implants also mean more support points across the length of the arch.

Neither option is automatically better. The right choice depends on bone quantity and density, gum health, how your upper and lower teeth meet, and your own goals. We review imaging with you and explain plainly why we are recommending four implants, six, or a different number, and what each approach would involve in your particular case.

What Candidates Should Know Before Treatment

Planning begins with a thorough periodontal and implant evaluation. We assess the health of your gums, measure available bone, examine any remaining teeth, and talk through your medical history and the habits that affect healing, such as smoking or uncontrolled health conditions. Honest conversation at this stage prevents surprises later.

Treatment may involve removing teeth that cannot be saved, placing the implants, and allowing a healing period while bone integrates with the implant surfaces before the final arch is completed. Having an on-site dental lab allows us to work closely on the fit, shade, and contours of your restoration without sending every adjustment out of the office. Patients tell us the ability to refine details in-house makes the process feel more responsive.

Aftercare, Longevity, and Daily Life

Healing after implant surgery calls for a soft diet, gentle cleaning around the surgical sites, and following the specific home-care instructions we give you. Mild swelling and tenderness in the first days are normal, and we stay available if anything feels off.

Long-term, a fixed arch still needs daily attention. We teach you how to clean beneath and around the bridge and schedule ongoing implant maintenance visits, where we check the tissue around each implant, clean areas a toothbrush cannot reach, and look for early signs of inflammation. Catching irritation early is one of the most reliable ways to protect the investment you have made.

Payment and Getting Started

We are an out-of-network, fee-for-service office and do not take insurance, and we welcome self-pay and cash patients. For periodontal services, we file insurance claims as a specialist, so if you carry dental benefits you can submit for any reimbursement your plan allows. We will give you a clear written treatment plan with costs before you commit to anything.

If you are weighing full arch options, we would be glad to sit down with you, look at your jaw together, and talk honestly about whether All-on-4, All-on-6, or another approach fits your situation. Call us to schedule your consultation — no referral needed.
