Dental Implants in Boca Raton

Losing a tooth changes more than your smile. It changes how you chew, how you speak, and often how comfortable you feel in a room full of people. For our Boca Raton patients, that is usually the real reason they call — not because of a gap in an X-ray, but because dinner has become complicated or a denture has started slipping at the worst possible moment. Dental implants solve that problem at the root, by replacing the tooth and the support beneath it.

A dental implant is a small post, placed into the jawbone, that takes over the job your natural tooth root used to do. Over several weeks, the bone grows around that post and holds it firmly in place. Once it has integrated, a crown, bridge, or denture attaches on top. The result is a replacement tooth that is anchored to your jaw rather than resting on your gums or clasped to neighboring teeth.

That anchoring is what makes implants different from other tooth replacement options. Because the post lives in the bone, it keeps stimulating that bone the way a natural root does, which helps preserve the shape of your jaw and face over time. Implants also stand on their own, so healthy neighboring teeth don't have to be reshaped or carry extra load. Our office is a periodontal practice, which means implant placement and the health of the gum and bone that support it are central to what we do every day — including implant maintenance long after your final restoration is in place.

Implants work for a wide range of situations, and that range surprises a lot of people. A single missing tooth is the most familiar case, but we also place implant-supported bridges for several teeth in a row, implant-supported dentures for patients tired of adhesives, and full arch solutions such as All-on-4, All-on-6, and All-on-X for patients replacing an entire upper or lower set of teeth. If you currently wear a denture that has never felt secure, full mouth dental implants may be the conversation worth having.

Good candidacy depends mostly on the gums and bone that will hold the implant. Active gum disease needs to be treated first, and if bone volume is thin after years of a missing tooth, bone grafting or ridge augmentation can rebuild the foundation before placement. Gum grafting may be recommended where tissue has receded. These are procedures we perform in-house, so patients don't have to assemble care from multiple offices. Boca Raton patients can also come directly to us — no referral is required — though we're always glad to coordinate with a general dentist you already trust.

What the Implant Process Looks Like

Your first visit is a conversation and an evaluation. We examine your gums, assess bone support, review your health history, and talk honestly about what you want from treatment — whether that's chewing steak again or simply not thinking about your teeth. From there we map out a plan with clear stages, so you know what happens when.

Here's the general sequence patients can expect:

  • A consultation and evaluation of your gum and bone health
  • Any preparatory care needed, such as gum disease treatment, bone grafting, or ridge augmentation
  • Placement of the implant post
  • A healing period while bone integrates with the implant
  • Design and attachment of your final crown, bridge, or denture
  • Ongoing implant maintenance and hygiene visits

We have an on-site dental lab, which is a practical advantage for Boca Raton patients. Restorations can be fabricated and adjusted close to the chair, shortening turnaround and making fine-tuning of fit and shade a far simpler process. When something needs a small refinement, it doesn't mean weeks of waiting.

Caring for Implants Over the Long Term

Implants don't get cavities, but the gum and bone around them still need attention. Daily brushing and flossing, plus the hygiene routine we review with you, protect that tissue from inflammation. We provide implant maintenance visits specifically to monitor those supporting structures and catch small changes early, which is exactly the kind of long-range care a periodontal practice is built for.

Because our team also performs periodontal regeneration, crown lengthening, and cosmetic gum contouring, we can address the surrounding gum health and appearance alongside your implants rather than treating them as separate issues.

Payment and Financing

We are an out-of-network, fee-for-service office and do not take insurance. We welcome self-pay and cash patients, and we file insurance claims as a Specialist on behalf of patients who want to seek reimbursement through their own plan.

Before treatment begins, we walk through the full plan and its costs so there are no surprises. Patients from Boca Raton, Highland Beach, Deerfield Beach, and Delray Beach are all welcome to schedule a consultation and get straightforward answers about what implants would involve for them.
