Full Arch Dental Implants in Deerfield Beach

Full Arch Dental Implants in Deerfield Beach

A denture that slips at dinner. A bridge that keeps failing because the teeth holding it are loose. A mouth full of teeth worn down by years of gum disease, where fixing one tooth at a time no longer makes sense. These are the situations that bring Deerfield Beach patients to our office asking about full arch dental implants — a way to replace an entire upper or lower set of teeth with something fixed, stable, and built to be used like natural teeth.

Full arch dental implants replace all the teeth in one jaw using a small number of implant posts placed into the jawbone. Those posts fuse with the bone over time and act as anchors for a complete arch of teeth. Instead of resting on the gums the way a traditional denture does, the new teeth are supported by the bone itself. That difference is what people notice first: no rocking, no adhesive, no covering the roof of the mouth with acrylic.

You may hear this treatment described several ways — All-on-4, All-on-6, or All-on-X — and the differences come down to how many implants support the arch. Four implants may be enough in some cases; others do better with six or more, depending on bone volume, bite forces, and whether we are treating the upper jaw, the lower jaw, or both. We also provide implant-supported bridges and implant-supported dentures, which gives us room to match the restoration to your mouth rather than fitting you into one system. Our on-site dental lab is part of that flexibility, keeping fabrication and adjustments close to the chair.

Most candidates fall into one of a few groups. Some have worn a full denture for years and are tired of the limitations. Some are facing the loss of their remaining teeth to advanced periodontal disease. Others have had a series of crowns, root canals, and bridges fail over time and want a plan that stops the cycle. As a periodontal practice, we see gum disease at every stage, and we treat the underlying infection before placing implants so the new teeth are going into healthy tissue.

Bone loss is the most common concern we hear, and it rarely rules anyone out. When the ridge has thinned after extractions or long-term denture wear, bone grafting and ridge augmentation can rebuild enough structure to support implants. We evaluate all of this during your consultation and tell you plainly what your options are, including when a different approach makes more sense. You do not need a referral from another dentist to be seen.

What the Process Looks Like

Treatment begins with an exam, imaging, and a conversation about what you want your teeth to do — eat comfortably, look natural, stay in place. From there we map out the number of implants, whether grafting is needed, and the sequence of appointments. If teeth need to be removed, extractions are planned as part of the overall surgery rather than treated as a separate event.

Here is the general progression:

  • Consultation and planning, including imaging and a review of your gum and bone health
  • Any preparatory care, such as gum disease treatment, extractions, bone grafting, or ridge augmentation
  • Implant placement surgery, positioning the posts that will carry the arch
  • Healing and integration, while the implants fuse with the bone
  • Final restoration, with the completed arch fitted, adjusted, and checked against your bite

Healing time varies by person and by how much preparatory work was involved. We stay in contact throughout and adjust the timeline as your body tells us what it needs.

Caring for Your New Teeth

Implants do not decay, but the gum and bone around them still need attention. Daily cleaning around the arch, regular hygiene visits, and professional implant maintenance are what keep the supporting tissue healthy long term. Patients who have had periodontal disease benefit from a closer recall schedule, and we set that up individually.

For Deerfield Beach patients, those follow-up visits are short and local. We also treat patients from Boca Raton, Highland Beach, and Delray Beach, so maintenance appointments fit into a normal day rather than requiring travel.

Payment and Financing

We are an out-of-network, fee-for-service practice and do not take insurance. We accept self-pay and cash patients, and we quote full arch treatment in writing before anything begins, including any grafting or extractions, so you can see the whole picture up front.

If you carry dental benefits, we are a specialty practice and can prepare claim documentation for you to submit for possible reimbursement. Call our office to schedule a consultation and get specific numbers for your case.
