Full Arch Dental Implants in Highland Beach

When several teeth in a row are failing — or an entire upper or lower set is already gone — everyday things change first: you start ordering softer foods, you avoid talking while you eat, you take your denture out before dinner guests arrive. Full arch dental implants address that whole situation at once, replacing an entire row of teeth with a fixed, implant-anchored set rather than patching one tooth at a time. For our Highland Beach patients, that often means returning to a normal diet, a stable bite, and a smile that stays put through a long lunch or a windy afternoon by the water.
A full arch restoration replaces all the teeth in your upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. Instead of one implant per tooth, we place a planned number of implants into the jawbone — commonly four or six — and those implants support a single connected set of teeth. You may hear this called All-on-4, All-on-6, or All-on-X; the letters and numbers simply describe how many implant supports the plan calls for, which depends on your bone, your bite, and the arch being treated.
The implants themselves act like tooth roots. Once the bone heals around them, they carry the biting force that your natural teeth used to handle, which is why a fixed full arch feels so different from a removable denture resting on gum tissue. Depending on your needs, we may restore the arch with a fixed set of teeth or with implant-supported dentures that snap firmly onto the implants. Implant-supported bridges are another option when only a section of the arch needs rebuilding.
Most people who ask about full arch implants are in one of a few situations: advanced gum disease has loosened the teeth, old bridgework and crowns are failing one after another, or a denture has become loose and uncomfortable as the jaw has changed shape over the years. Any of these can make you a candidate.
Because our practice is a periodontal office with a board-certified periodontist on staff, gum and bone health is where we start. Gum disease is the most common reason a full arch is needed in the first place, and it has to be brought under control before implants go in. If the bone has thinned, bone grafting or ridge augmentation can rebuild enough volume and width to support implants, and gum grafting can restore tissue where it has receded. Having these procedures available in one office means Highland Beach patients aren't referred from place to place to complete the groundwork. We also accept patients without a referral, so you can call us directly.

- No adhesives and no slipping while speaking
- Implants that stimulate and help preserve the jawbone
- A complete cosmetic result for the whole arch at once, including the gumline
- Easier daily care than a mouth full of failing teeth and old restorations
What the Process Looks Like
Treatment begins with a thorough evaluation of your teeth, gums, and bone, along with imaging and a conversation about what you want from the result. We map out how many implants your arch needs, whether grafting is required, and what the restoration will look like before anything is placed.
On surgery day, any remaining teeth that cannot be saved are removed, the implants are placed in planned positions, and a temporary set of teeth is fitted so you are not without a smile. The implants then integrate with the bone over a healing period. During that time we monitor your progress and adjust the temporary as needed. When healing is complete, your final teeth are made and fitted — and because we have an on-site dental lab, fit and shade adjustments can often be handled efficiently rather than waiting on an outside facility.
Aftercare and Long-Term Maintenance
Early recovery is mostly about rest, soft foods, and keeping the surgical sites clean exactly as we instruct. Mild swelling and tenderness are normal and ease as healing progresses. We see you for follow-up visits to confirm the implants are integrating well.
Long term, implants need the same vigilance that gums do. Our implant maintenance program includes professional cleaning around the implants and regular checks of the tissue and the restoration, paired with the home hygiene routine we'll teach you. Patients who keep up with maintenance protect the investment they've made.
Payment and Financing
We are an out-of-network, fee-for-service practice and do not take insurance, and we welcome self-pay and cash patients. We file claims as a Specialist, which can help patients with out-of-network benefits seek reimbursement directly from their plan.
Before treatment begins, you'll receive a clear written treatment plan with the full cost of your arch, so there are no surprises. We're glad to talk through payment timing and sequencing with Highland Beach patients, along with those we see from Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Deerfield Beach. Call us to schedule a consultation and find out what your arch would require.
